On Saturday, 9 August, from 10:00 to 17:00, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Anatomy Museum will host its third annual Market Day. The event will take place in the courtyard at 9 Kronvalda bulvāris in Riga. It is the only market in Latvia dedicated to anatomy, the human body, and themes that match the museum's unusual atmosphere.

The event has become a unique summer tradition, bringing together both creative professionals and curious visitors. This year, around 40 vendors will take part in the market, including several new participants who promise surprises and an even more diverse experience.
Market Day visitors will have the chance to meet various artists, craftsmen, collectors, and publishers. For the first time, the event will feature the Art Academy of Latvia, whose tent will showcase and offer for sale carefully selected works by young artists. Meanwhile, the tent by the Riga Circus will ensure a lively and creative atmosphere throughout the day.

At the market, visitors will be able to purchase handmade jewellery and design items, illustrations and artworks with an anatomical twist, historical medical instruments and objects, as well as new and antique books. As every year, a special highlight will be the popular ear sale with objects created exclusively for the market that are only available once a year. The ears will be in limited supply, so those interested are advised to arrive early.
