RSU Council discusses admissions results, financial indicators and cybersecurity

On 23 September, a meeting of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Council was held, which was attended by RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons, Vice-Rector for Studies Prof. Haralds Plaudis, Vice-Rector for Science Agrita Kiopa and Chancellor Toms Baumanis, as well as Chair of the RSU Council Juris Lācis and Vice-Chair Assoc. Prof. Kārlis Kupčs.  

The meeting was also attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Health – Minister for Health Hosams Abu Meri and Head of the Minister’s Office Renāte Gremze. The Council was also represented by its members – Prof. Dace Gardovska, Prof. Em. Tatjana Koķe, Līga Meņģelsone and Pžemisļavs Žuravļovs, while the Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP) was represented by its Chair, Kristiana Jurkevica. 

The agenda included the student admissions results and trends for the 2026/2027 academic year, the strengthening of the RSU competitiveness, the university’s financial results, and cybersecurity issues.
