RSU Foundation invites students to free ballroom dance classes
Come dance! Learn the basics of ballroom and you'll be ready to dance at the RSU Academic Ball! Classes start 22 October.
Picture an evening after class: music playing, people laughing, and next to you someone from another faculty, maybe another country. Your first steps are a little unsure, the next ones are better, and by the end of the hour you're dancing.
Previous dance experience and bringing a dance partner are not required. Come with the desire to move, learn and try something new!
The ballroom dance classes are the first module of the RSU Foundation's Cultural Intelligence Academy, taught by Evita Pavasare, Sports Dance Coach at the RSU Sports Club.
The classes will take place from 22 October 2026 to 8 April 2027, preparing for the RSU Academic Ball on 10 April 2027. The last class will be just two days before the ball – an opportunity to repeat what has been learned and get in the mood for the festive evening.
