From 3–10 October, Rīga will be hosting the i-Days healthcare innovation hackathon, where students from universities across Latvia will be challenged to develop solutions to pressing issues in healthcare. Participants are invited to join in teams of 3–4 or register individually, regardless of their study year or field. The goal is to generate ideas that could transform healthcare – from promoting preventive medicine to supporting early disease detection and lifestyle changes.

The winning team will represent Latvia at the i-Days European Finals in Paris this November and receive 3,000 EUR from Roche to further develop their idea.

Healthcare is one of the cornerstones of the economy, but it remains wide open to innovations that can accelerate treatment, improve patient experience, and support healthcare professionals. That is why this year’s challenges come directly from industry leaders, including Roche, Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital and Olpha. The hackathon is organised by the EIT Health Hub in Latvia in collaboration with Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and will take place within the framework of the PMNET Precision Medicine Forum, encouraging students to think about adaptable innovations that take into account genetic, environmental, and lifestyle differences.

Please fill out the I-days hackathon 2025 pre-registration form to win chance to represent Latvia in the European finals in Paris November 27-28!
