RSU Latvian Academy of Sports Education – 104 years in motion
6 September marks 104 years since the founding of Latvia's first higher education institution in the field of sports – now known as the Rīga Stradiņš University Latvian Academy of Sports Education (RSU LASE). Since 1921, it has made an invaluable contribution to the development of sports in our country by training specialists who have helped to promote Latvia's name in the world. On 1 July 2024, LASE joined RSU, thus strengthening its path to even more targeted growth.
The future vision of RSU LASE is to provide internationally recognised, high-quality studies and to develop innovative, interdisciplinary research in sports science, closely integrating it into the study process.
We sincerely congratulate our colleagues at RSU LASE on the academy's birthday and wish RSU LASE continued enthusiasm and professionalism in shaping a new generation of sports specialists, strengthening traditions and opening doors to new opportunities in the future!
