RSU psychology students recognised at the International Student Conference with award-winning research
We are proud to reflect on the participation of RSU psychology students in the International Student Conference 2026, where both undergraduate and graduate students presented their research.
We are particularly proud of the following outstanding achievements:
- Austra Dūte – 1st place
- Estere Promberga – 2nd place
- Kristaps Stinka – 3rd place
The students addressed a wide range of current topics – from sleep quality, emotion regulation, and satisfaction in romantic relationships (Svetlana Mandrikova) to the links between eating behaviour and feelings of shame and guilt among vegetarians (Brigita Sāra Rodina). Students also presented significant psychometric studies, including an adapted Latvian version of the Anxiety about Ageing Scale (Anna Avotiņa) and the D2-R attention test (Anna Šneidere), and analysed the construct validity of the RITA-S cognitive screening instrument (Kristaps Stinka).

Several studies focused on innovative interventions, including research on the implementation of nature-based interventions in healthcare (Aivija Knīse-Repša), as well as on a developed and piloted mixed-reality intervention to promote selective and sustained attention in adolescent basketball players (Austra Dūte, Estere Promberga). The interrelationships between psychological resilience, social support, and fear of war were also analysed (Rebeka Paula Žakaite).
We are proud of our students’ achievements and their contribution to the field of psychology.
