Senior evening brings together warmth, music and community
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has a tradition of organising a Senior Evening to thank seniors for their contribution to the development of the university. This year, the event took place on 21 May at the RSU Great Hall.
The event was attended by former and current employees who have contributed to the development of the university through their work, knowledge, and experience.
During Senior Evening, participants reflected on achievements, learned about the latest developments at the university, reunited with former colleagues, and enjoyed the pleasure of being together.
As in the previous year, this year’s event once again brought together representatives of RSU and the Latvian Academy of Sport Education, highlighting shared university values and the continuity of traditions. During the evening, RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons thanked the long-standing employees for their contribution to the development of the university.
Senior Evening featured musical performances, conversations, and shared memories, strengthening the sense of belonging to the university, including among those who have already retired.
The tradition of honouring seniors at RSU began in 1995.
