For RSU Employees

On Thursday, 10 November, Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) students and anyone else who's interested are invited to a lecture "The Importance of Failing Smart for Innovation" presented by two lecturers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Dr. Anjali Sastry and Prof. John Brisson. The lecture will take place in the Teterev Auditorium in the Medical Education Technology Centre (METC) from 12:00 to 14:00.

The guest lecture is part of a wider visit organised by the Riga Business School and the Ministry of Education and Science from 9 to 12 November. During their visit to Latvia, the experts from MIT will take part in a seminar organised by the Ministry of Education and Science on The Role of Universities in the Development of Innovation Ecosystems. MIT has been a leading education and research institution for many decades and aims to support and strengthen the capacity of other universities. This is why MIT has created a dedicated unit, the Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL), to foster global collaboration. The aim of the workshop is to provide national university boards and education leaders with an opportunity to gain insight into educational innovations. In Latvia, a platform called the MIT Lab is currently being set up to further innovation in higher education.
