We invite you to the RSU Academic Ball!

Dear employees, students, professors, lecturers and researchers of Rīga Stradiņš University! We cordially invite you to the Annual RSU Academic Ball. 

The Academic Ball will take place on Saturday 6 April at 19:00 at the Rīga Latvian Society. It will serve as the culmination of Research Week which takes place between 1-5 April.

Many of our academic traditions will be observed at the ball like honoring the winners of the RSU Annual Awards, listening to excellent concert music, and enjoying ballroom dancing.

The Jelgava Big Band, Elza Rozentāle, Normunds Rutulis, Ivars Pētersons, and Atis Ieviņš & Rock Brother will be performing amongst others. 

It has become a tradition to entice attendees to attend the Award Ceremony with a performance by the Best New Artist of the Latvian Grand Music Awards. This year it is clarinetist Anna Gāgane who will perform together with pianist Agnese Egliņa. To close the ceremony the RSU choir Rīga and an instrumental group will perform Imants Kalninņš' song cycle from the rock opera Ei, jūs tur! with lyrics by Viktors Kalniņs.

The creative collective Skudras metropole will be responsible for creating the atmosphere in the White Hall - guests will be entertained by lively piano duels coupled with ice-cream making, artistic workshops, Argentinian tango and more.

Additionally guests will be able to enjoy various dance performances, a photo booth and, of course, the large ball cake!
