Objective

Provide students with integrated interdisciplinary knowledge in the Pilates method and develop training management skills for improving movement for people of different ages by applying Pilates equipment and combining their use with small exercise equipment. Enable students to acquire functional fitness and Pilates-based motion assessment tests within the competence of the trainer and, based on their results, to acquire the skills to create individually appropriate Pilates training programmes using functional Pilates equipment. Improve students’ understanding of the use of small exercise equipment as an additional tool for Pilates equipment.

Prerequisites

Knowledge: anatomy, dynamic anatomy (detailed different muscle contractive modes in motion, changes in resistance loads); skills: provide demonstration exercises, word guides, tactical correction techniques, pedagogical and psychological methods for providing positive guidance.

1.Describes the principles for conducting individual classes using all Pilates trainers and small equipment.

Skills

1.Independently collect history and information on the purposes of a person’s classes and perform Pilates functional tests.

Competence

1.Builds a training program using Pilates machines and small equipment based on history data and client training goals, as well as functional test results.
