Objective

To provide the knowledge in mechanisms of realization and regulation of functions in healthy organism as well as develop skills in functional evaluation methods.

Prerequisites

Human anatomy, biology, physics, chemistry.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.After successful studies student should be able to define physiological parameters, describe functions of tissues, organs and organ systems; principles and mechanisms of their regulation. Student should be able to use the acquired knowledge for further studies of evaluation of the persons functional state, different methods of investigation an therapy. Student should be able to analyze results of the simplest physiological measurements and explain the importance of test performance in evaluation of the patient condition.

Skills

1.After successful studies student should be able to do the basic physiological measurements, to use acquired knowledge in computer analysis of physiologic measures. Student should be able to use acquired knowledge about physiological regulation mechanisms in clinical task solving.

Competence

1.Acquired knowledge and skills student should be able to use in further studies and in evaluation of patients condition and results of intervention.
