Extended Course in Pulmonary Diseases Pathology (Pathomorphology and Pathological Physiology) (PAK_018)
About Study Course
Objective
To deepen the knowledge on the pathogenesis of respiratory diseases as the theoretical basis for further clinical studies and practical medical work; to develop practical skills in the evaluation of biopsies and laboratory investigation.
Prerequisites
Human anatomy, physiology, pathology (A).
Learning outcomes
1.The pathogenesis of human pulmonary diseases, including general pathological processes and special pathology with the emphasis on specific disease entities.
1.Application of biopsies, and laboratory assessment (blood tests, biochemical tests, urine analyses) in clinical diagnostics of pulmonary diseases
1.Ability to assess and analyse clinical situations in theoretical models, using laboratory tests and data of tissue investigation: diagnostics and explanation of pathogenesis in a particular patient, using clinically relevant tests.
