About Study Course
Objective
To provide medical residents with the opportunity to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in diagnostic radiology in patients with endocrine diseases. Understanding of making and interpretation of different radiological examinations (ultrasound, X-ray, CT and MR) according to the requirements of the regulation in endocrinology specialty in order to prepare a physician for certification in an endocrinologist’s specialty.
Learning outcomes
1.To understand radiological examinations and the related endocrine pathology theoretically and practically.
1.To be able to assess different radiological examinations related to endocrine pathology. To understand the principles of these examinations theoretically, to evaluate the validity of the examination indications. To participate in manipulations of radiological examinations and making assessment (descriptions) of radiological examinations. To be able to assess indications for thyroid aspiration biopsy, making aspiration and interpretation of the results. Lymph node biopsies.
1.Acquired knowledge and skills necessary for different radiological examinations used in diagnosis and treatment of endocrine diseases.
