Sustainable Development
For RSU Employees
Research

In early summer, researchers Diāna Kiščenko and Anna Žabicka from the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Social Sciences Research Centre presented their work on the international INCLUDE project “Fostering inclusive biomedicine geps in research and higher education institutions” to their colleagues.

As part of this project, researchers analysed RSU’s policy documents on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion, and evaluated its personnel, development, and remuneration policies. They also conducted 10 interviews with RSU employees from academic, administrative, and management backgrounds.

During the meeting, colleagues from various RSU departments participated in a brainstorming session and contributed ideas to promote gender equality and inclusion at the University.

INCLUDE aims to promote institutional change in the field of gender equality and inclusion by developing, implementing, and evaluating innovative measures based on an intersectional and intersectoral approach. Eight research and higher education institutions from different European countries are participating in the project. The project is being implemented as part of HORIZON coordination and support actions and will run until the end of 2026.

More information about the project is available on the INCLUDE website.
