Our interdisciplinary research group focuses on developing and applying advanced image processing and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to solve challenges in healthcare and biotechnology. Our work spans from AI-assisted drug discovery to the analysis of biological and medical images for diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scientific Assistant to contribute to a project at the intersection of biotechnology, drug development, and computational analysis.
Candidate will be involved in:
- Collaborating with computer scientists and engineers to develop AI-based models for biological and medical image analysis
- Processing, interpreting, and presenting experimental data (using tools such as SPSS, and Python Pandas)
- Contributing to scientific publications and reports
- Preparing biological samples and acquiring microscopic or other bio-analytical image data
- Designing and conducting laboratory experiments in biotechnology, potentially involving cell culture, biomaterial characterization, or assay development
Required Qualifications:
A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field
Demonstrated hands-on experience with standard laboratory techniques and instrumentation (Spectroscopic analysis)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications (Assets):
Familiarity with image analysis software (e.g., ImageJ, MATLAB) and/or an interest in learning computational data analysis methods
Experience with quality control procedures in a pharmaceutical or biotech R&D setting
A proven record of scientific creativity, such as patents, publications, or conference presentations
Demonstrated ability to collaborate on projects involving AI or computational tools
