Every spring, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP) gathers students, university representatives, and cooperation partners for the RSU SP's annual awards ceremony, Golden Horseshoe.
On the evening of 18 April, the RSU SP will honour outstanding individuals, the most remarkable events, and the most supportive organisations across 10 categories. It will also look back on the achievements of the past year and celebrate not only shared successes, but also the 33rd anniversary of the RSU Student Union.
The Event of the Year award is presented to an activity, event, or project that, during the relevant period, has significantly impacted RSU students, increased the visibility of the RSU Student Union, educated students, and strengthened the competencies of student representatives.
The horseshoe is a symbol of energy, fortune, and forging one's own destiny, and the horse symbolises drive and movement.
