Teterev Foundation targeted scholarships for study modernising awarded to 11 projects by RSU academic staff
Lecturers at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will develop new courses and update existing ones in health care and social sciences with grants from the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation. Of the 19 applications submitted in the 2026 competition, 18 advanced to the second stage of review, and the selection committee approved 11 for funding. Such a strong field speaks to the dedication of RSU lecturers to their students.

Social sciences lecturers were especially active this year, submitting six applications, the most the category has received to date.
The grants were established by philanthropist Boris Teterev, an RSU graduate, physician and entrepreneur, to enable lecturers to design new courses, introduce current teaching methods, and keep course content in step with their fields and with students’ needs. In health care programs, two lecturers may apply as a team. Since 2014, more than 200 RSU lecturers have received the grants.
Congratulations to this year’s recipients, and best wishes for the work ahead.
We thank the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation, established in 2010 by philanthropists Boris and Ināra Teterev, for its long-standing support of RSU, including scholarships for students in medicine and grants for lecturers.
In the months ahead, we will introduce the lecturers, their projects and what they achieve.
