About Study Course
Objective
To promote students' understanding of research in social sciences, stages, and basic principles of psychology research; to improve the ability to select, summarise and analyse published research on a particular topic; to develop the ability to prepare, justify and execute a study project in psychology in accordance with the basic principles of research and to present it;
Prerequisites
Introduction to professional work, general psychology.
Learning outcomes
1.Students use the basic terminology of research; explain the differences between the qualitative and quantitative research strategy and the different study designs; describe the ethical principles of the study, informed consent requirements and basic principles of the data management plan;
1.Students identify current research problems in psychology; select, analyse, compare and critically evaluate published studies in psychology; analyse the scientific strength of the studies; formulate research questions relevant to the purpose of the study; observe the basic principles of the ethical application of digital tools in research; plans for a substantiated research project.
1.Critically evaluate scientific literature, read correctly and discuss the data presented in articles in a reasoned manner. A research project shall be established, justifying the relevance of the research, the problem, the formulation of the objective, the research question/hypothesis, the development of a targeted literature review, the description of an appropriate way of obtaining data, the integration of ethical requirements into its research project.
