Dr Caspar Wohlfahrt will be holding a lecture themed 'From research idea to clinical practice' at RSU.
Caspar Wohlfahrt (PhD, MS, DDS, specialist in periodontology) received his dental degree at the University of Gothenbourg in 1997 and achieved his specialist degree as well as Master of science in dentistry at University of Minnesota in 2004. He defended his PhD thesis entitled 'On the use of titanium based materials as non-resorbable bone substitutes' in 2012.
You are welcome to attend two lectures by Dr. Ulvi Gürsoy themed Oral microbiome and regenerative biomarkers and Periodontal wound healing, bone regeneration and importance of granulation tissue. The lectured will be followed by a discussion on the given subjects.

The Extraordinary General Meeting of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Alumni Association was held on 4 March 2025. The meeting aimed to review the events of the past year, discuss key developments in the lives of RSU graduates, and elect a new board.
The General Meeting began with a report on the association’s achievements over the past eight years, presented by Dins Šmits, President of the Alumni Association Board, and Paula Jumīte, Executive Director.
The presentation "Contemporary Discourses of Motherhood and Mediatisation – Opportunities and Perspectives for Communication Research" will briefly outline contemporary discourses on motherhood, mothering, and maternal identity, as well as their interrelations in mass media and social networking sites, in the narratives of new mothers and within public discourse in Latvia. It will also provide insights into the forms of motherhood mediatisation and how social networking sites, particularly Twitter (X) and Facebook, enhance the experience of motherhood.
