On Friday, 10 January, Minister for Economics Viktors Valainis and Deputy State Secretary on Economic Issues Raivis Bremšmits made a visit to the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Educational Technology Centre (METC). The Minister had a meeting with RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons and other representatives of RSU management.
In healthcare, the journey from an innovative idea to a finished product or service is a long one. Every product and service must be data-driven, patient-centric, and comply with regulations. Patient access is complex and data systems are often poorly organised. As a result, the demand for innovative solutions to ease the burden on the healthcare system is immense, and the potential benefits for both society and innovators are invaluable.
On 9 January, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Red Cross Medical College was attended by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Latvia, Hosam Abu Meri. During the visit, he got acquainted with the College's activities and study programmes and took a tour of the teaching laboratories. The Minister's visit marked the beginning of the 105th anniversary year of the College, which is a significant moment in the history of medical education in Latvia.
