Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) invites everyone to participate in the Wild Stories project by sharing their unique stories of mushroom and berry picking experiences in Latvian forests. This initiative is dedicated to documenting and preserving Latvia's natural, cultural and identity heritage.
On 21 November, the General Assembly of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (LAS) elected 12 Full Members, five Foreign Members, one Honorary Member, and five Corresponding Members by secret ballot. Among the new members are four lecturers and researchers from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU). On 19 December, four members of the Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) teaching staff and research team were formally presented with their diplomas at an official ceremony.
On 20 November, the management of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) congratulated those colleagues whose achievements and outstanding accomplishments have been recognised and appreciated at the national level by awarding the Order of the Three Stars, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Health Letters of Commendation, the Ministry of Interior awards and the Latvian National Armed Forces Certificates of Recognition. Our colleagues have received acknowledgement for their dedication, professionalism and outstanding work.
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), in collaboration with the Kharkiv Aviation Institute of Ukraine, has developed a unique handbook aimed at strengthening the security and resilience of universities and scientific institutions. This international cooperation project provides practical new guidelines to mitigate the threat of hostile foreign influences while enhancing the ability of institutions to adapt to global geopolitical and technological challenges.
The final Open Day of the year for prospective international students took place on 22 November 2024, welcoming 18 students and their parents from 10 countries: Germany, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Kenya.

Researchers at the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Social Sciences Research Centre are working in an international team to improve the ability of artificial intelligence to detect misinformation and related narratives in the digital environment. As a result, major language models will be improved and a monitoring system for misinformation narratives will be recommended.
On 22 November, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Social Sciences hosted the first national scientific and practical law conference LEX SCRIPTA. The conference took place at 9C Kuldīgas iela, Riga, and was an excellent opportunity for law experts, professionals, researchers and students to come together for academic discussions and knowledge exchange.
