The presentation of the Research Latvia 2025 calendar and travelling exhibition, created by the Ministry of Education and Science (MoES), took place in an inspiring atmosphere, reports the science communication platform Researchlatvia.gov.lv. The interactive calendar showcases 12 of Latvia's leading scientific institutions and their researchers in both digital and traditional formats.
This event, co-organized by Prusty Lab and the RSU Institute of Microbiology and Virology, provides an excellent opportunity to discuss current research, share ideas, and enjoy some refreshments in a casual setting !

In 2021, a study coordinated by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and conducted by Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) on childbirth support from a women’s perspective attracted great public attention. Especially resonant was the issue of obstetric violence. The study is ongoing, and the first comparative results show that rates of violence have significantly decreased. Still the study also touches upon other aspects of the support received.
