Aim

Prepare competitive and highly skilled specialists for academic, research and practical work in medicine and the pharmaceutical industry with in-depth knowledge of various medical and pharmaceutical sub-sector disciplines, contributing to integration of scientific studies and modern technology in a united innovative environment

Description

Activities of the project

  • Prepare highly qualified professionals in the academic, scientific fields and practical work in medicine and pharmaceutical industry with in-depth knowledge of various medical and pharmaceutical disciplines and an ability to train students and residents
  • Provide doctoral candidates with an opportunity to gain knowledge, skills and an attitude that give them the ability to successfully implement their scientific studies in the relevant specialty
  • Prepare high-level specialists in medicine and pharmacy, who would be able to systemise, analyse practical observations in a methodological way, linking those to theoretical knowledge and demonstrate conceptual and analytical skills in the development of theory
  • Develop skills in identification of a research problem, formulation of hypotheses or the basic issue, the creation of a research plan or design, data collection and planning of analysis
  • Promote the integration of scientific research and modern technology in a single innovative activity environment, promote productivity and competitiveness of the research study in Latvia and internationally
  • Prepare highly-qualified scientists who can compete in the local and international scientific market
