3D Modeling in Dentistry (FK_085)
About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the digital dentistry workflow, learning the basics of 3D modeling, as well as developing skills in creating various digital models necessary in dentistry using the Medit Link program.
Prerequisites
Computer science knowledge at the level of a high school curriculum. Basic knowledge of dental anatomy.
Learning outcomes
1.Students will learn the digital workflow in dentistry, from intraoral scanning to 3D printing of finished medical products. They will deepen their knowledge of diagnostics, virtual treatment planning, creation of demonstration and diagnostic models, dental trays and restorations. The functions and applications of the Medit Link software.
1.Ability to create digital diagnostic models, orthodontic copings and prosthetic designs based on intraoral scans. Ability to perform quality control according to clinical requirements.
1.At the end of the course, students will be prepared to independently implement the digital dental modeling process. Integrate digital tools in clinical work and laboratory environments. Make informed decisions about restoration design based on anatomical and functional requirements. Evaluate the suitability of 3D printing in specific clinical situations.
