About Study Course
Objective
The course aims to raise awareness among students about the role of TV and streaming platform series in the media ecosystem. Students will learn the knowledge and methods of analyzing diverse series that include exploring the structure and stylistics of a narco. Series analysis is a critical approach that serves to expose cultural beliefs while also taking into account historical context and the dynamics of the audiovisual industry.The course focuses on the cult series of the world, as well as reviews the series created in Latvia.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the origins of cinema, documentary cinema or communication.
Learning outcomes
1.• understand the features of TV and streaming platforms in the series offering
• take a critical theory approach to analysing multiple series;
• recognise narrative and stylistic techniques;
• to be able to assess the quality of the series and its impact in the audiovisual sector;
