Objective

The study course envisages the acquisition of highly specialized knowledge, high complexity skills and the acquisition of complex problem solutions in the context of the digital transformation of the health sector. A high level of specialization means solutions to complex problems in the management of changes in the health sector using and selecting data, information and digital content, analytical application of acquired knowledge in professional activities, educating and guiding others in browsing, searching and selecting data, information and digital content.

Prerequisites

Basics of management, data processing and analysis, basic excel skills.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

- Manage the use of health data in the implementation of certain processes in the health field, as well as in connection with high-performance computing capabilities;
- Know descriptive and prognostic health data analysis methods and health data visualization op-tions in data-based decision-making using modelling and simulation;
- Apply digital change management theories and concepts for the implementation of change man-agement ideas and solutions in the health sector and companies, including in connection with the use of big data and the application of artificial intelligence in data processing;
- Apply simulation and modeling methods in solving problems in the field of health with various in-teraction factors and in creating the content of changes;
- To offer new ideas and solutions in the management of digital changes in the health sector and in proposing and implementing digital communication solutions for solving complex problems in the health sector.

Skills

- Understand and be able to assess the utility of important applications of Digital Health;
- Understand the economics of health care institutions and how Digital Health Applications and Digi-tal Change Management as well as Risk Management might help to solve problems in health care management and how to make health care services more efficient;
- Analyze situations and recognize problems regarding Digital Health and Health Management and justify if and how techniques from Digital Health as well as Risk Assessment might be useful to overcome these obstacles;
- Analyse the benefits of modelling and simulation in Health Care;
- Apply useful tools, such as Modelling and Simulation using Business Process Modelling;
- Apply Digital Change and Risk Management to problem solving.

Competence

- Recognize the potentials of the application of digital tools and techniques in Health Care to support a successful change implementation;
- Identify and solve problems in health care using innovative Digital Health concepts, application and tools;
- Select appropriate digital health tools, to improve desired process or function of the healthcare system or institution by implementing successful change;
- Support process management by applying modelling and simulation;
- Increase efficiency in health care service provision by solving complex health care problems.
