Objective

To develop students' understanding of the nature and basic concepts, forms and functions of law, the peculiarities of the Latvian legal system and the field of legal science, the legal status of a sports educator (coach), legal relations in the work of a sports educator (coach), as well as to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and competences in professional ethics, including codes of ethics, as well as to practice respectful and fair attitude in communication.

Successful completion of the study course requires analytical skills, social skills, logical thinking

Knowledge

1.Explains the structure and basic issues of the legal system of Latvia.

Skills

1.Describe the legal system and legal norms of Latvia and use the basic concepts of legal theory to be used in the work of sports pedagogy.

Competence

1.Able to navigate, comply with the requirements of the laws and regulations governing the operation of sports pedagogy and supervise the performance thereof.
