About Study Course
Objective
In this study course, students will learn how to analyze and model an enterprise’s business processes to improve organizational management and achieve its strategic goals. The course will provide knowledge about modern business process modeling methods and tools that will help structure and optimize company operations. Students will learn how to develop requirements for information systems and services that support these processes.
The course will also cover enterprise architecture frameworks and description languages, enabling students to systematically model the current and future state of the enterprise. The course will emphasize the integration of business and IT architecture, promoting harmonious and sustainable organizational development.
Prerequisites
Understanding the role of information technology in organizations.
Basic knowledge of systemic thinking and process approach in organizational management.
Learning outcomes
1.Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the BPMN 2.0 standard and its core principles in business process modeling.
- Have a solid understanding of modern business process improvement and optimization methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Explain the alignment between business processes and IT systems to support organizational strategic goals.
- Explain the goals, scope, and challenges of developing enterprise architecture.
- Navigate the structure and suitability of major enterprise architecture frameworks for different business scenarios.
- Navigate the ArchiMate modeling language, various diagrams, and views.
- Understand the processes of implementing and managing enterprise architecture.
1.Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- Analyze and model business processes using BPMN and other modern modeling tools.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in processes, and propose improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methods.
- Develop and define requirements for information systems and align them with business process models.
- Assess enterprise architecture frameworks and tools.
- Choose and apply enterprise architecture methods.
- Develop high-level diagrams and views using the ArchiMate modeling language.
1.Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- Apply BPMN modeling in the analysis and optimization of real business processes independently.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using modern methodologies.
- Develop and implement information system requirements that align with organizational business processes and strategies.
- Identify and solve business problems using enterprise architecture methods and principles.
- Plan structured and systematic processes for the development and management of enterprise architecture.
- Use the ArchiMate modeling language for visualizing and analyzing business and technology solutions.
