Objective

To promote the understanding of the importance of theoretical knowledge and its connection with clinical practice. To learn how to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in patient centered care.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

As the result of study course acquisition student will understand meaning of ethics in communication with the patient, understands the meaning and structure of the nutrition anamnesis.

Skills

As the result of study course acquisition student will acquire skills about patient's rights, confidentiality and data protection principles. Student will learn about the patient's complaints and needs, learn how to document nutrition anamnesis and how to compare it with nutrition recommendations.

Competence

As the result of study course acquisition student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills, observe and ensure confidentiality and protection of personal data, autonomy and rights in the professional activity of a nutritionist. Purposefully obtains a nutrition anamnesis from the patient and / or relatives, caregiver, or legal representative.
