Objective

Gain extensive and up-to-date knowledge of the topical issues in the health sector. Improve students' knowledge gained in the previous years of study. In addition, learn the skills and attitudes required for fulfillment of the basic tasks and responsibilities of future professional activity and professional knowledge and competences.

Prerequisites

Knowledge acquired in pre-clinical and clinical study courses.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.After successfully completing the study course, the student will have acquired knowledge of current developments in various medical sectors, including diagnostic and differential diagnosis, multidisciplinary treatment in complex situations, as well as knowledge of principles of clinical risk management and patient safety. Knowledge of the role of lifelong learning and professional development in career development planning will be acquired.

Skills

1.Will be able to develop a modern multidisciplinary approach to addressing various medical issues, as well as be able to manage patient safety and risks.

Competence

1.The competences acquired as a result of the study course will allow for the organisation of modern, safe and complex patient care. Including recognition and management of clinical risks, understanding the healthcare system and purposefully improving professional qualifications in lifelong learning formats.
