Objective

To acquire knowledge about the types of residential buildings, public buildings and health care institution buildings, hygiene at medical treatment institutions and related risk factors; hygiene at social and public service institutions and related risk factors; development of populated areas, basic principles of planning. To acquire knowledge about the principles of environmental risk factor assessment, development of measures to prevent the impact of environmental risk factors on people’s living conditions and health; on performing hygienic examination.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.During the time allotted for the study course, the medical resident acquires knowledge about the types of residential buildings, public buildings and health care institution buildings, hygiene at medical treatment institutions and related risk factors; hygiene at social and public service institutions and related risk factors; development of populated areas, basic principles of planning.

Skills

1.As a result of completing the study course, the medical resident will be able to assess environmental risk factors, develop a plan of measures (recommendations) to prevent the impact of environmental risk factors on people’s living conditions and health, and perform hygienic examination.

Competence

1.After successful completion of the study course, the medical resident achieves the mandatory competence of a certified public health physician, which allows to assess environmental risk factors independently, develop a plan of measures (recommendations) to prevent the impact of environmental risk factors on people’s living conditions and health, and perform hygienic examination.
