Objective

To acquire knowledge about:
- the Public Health Monitoring and Reporting System (SVMZS), about the indicators used for public health monitoring, about the diseases subject to monitoring;
- the role of primary health care in ensuring public health;
- principles of health care system management;
- principles of health promotion policy and practice formation, applied strategies, political and socioeconomic factors in health promotion practice;
- regularities of communication processes.
About occupational health, about the hygiene of children and adolescents and related risks.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.During the time allotted for the study course, the medical resident acquires knowledge about:
- the Public Health Monitoring and Reporting System (SVMZS), about the indicators used for public health monitoring, about the diseases subject to monitoring;
- the role of primary health care in ensuring public health;
- principles of health care system management;
- principles of health promotion policy and practice formation, applied strategies, political and socioeconomic factors in health promotion practice;
- regularities of communication processes.

Skills

1.As a result of completing the study course, the medical resident will be able:
- to carry out environmental monitoring, surveying objects, evaluating risk factors and their impact on health, developing measures (proposals) to reduce them;
- to perform hygienic examination of objects and events.

Competence

1.As a result of successful completion of the study course, the medical resident achieves the mandatory competence of a certified public health physician, which allows to work independently in the field of public health.
