About Study Course
Objective
To ensure the acquisition and development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in homoeopathic pharmacy in accordance with the requirements of the specialty of homoeopathy.
Learning outcomes
1.During the time allotted for the study course, the medical resident:
• gains a general understanding of the principles and methods of homoeopathic pharmacy;
• learns the rules for the preparation of homoeopathic medicines, ensuring that the individual nature of the medicine is preserved;
• understands dilution to avoid toxicity;
• understands the essence of potency and dynamisation;
• learns the scientific basis of potency;
• learns to prepare the initial material – mother tinctures and mother triturations;
• is familiar with potentiation methods, the use of technical tools of potentiation and the history and development of potentiation methods;
• is familiar with potency scales and processes;
• learns about homoeopathic forms of medicines.
1.As a result of completing the study course, the medical resident:
Gains preparation skills:
• of a mother tincture,
• of a trituration;
• of a homoeopathic medicine;
- on a decimal scale;
- on a hundredth scale;
- for LM/Q potencies.
Intellectual skills:
- able to use potencies;
- able to select the appropriate potency when prescribing medicine;
- to know which homoeopathic medicines to use in which situations;
- able to demonstrate critical and analytical skills.
1.After successful completion of the study course, the medical resident achieves the mandatory competence of a homoeopath:
• understands the principles and methods of homoeopathic pharmacy;
• is able to prepare homoeopathic medicines in different forms and with different potencies, using different scales;
• understands the importance of standardisation, quality control of the potentisation process, contamination and the safe limit of dilution of homoeopathic medicinal products;
• is able to explain with arguments and discuss complex aspects of homoeopathic pharmacy with both professionals and laypersons.
• is able to keep up-to-date information about achievements in both conventional and homoeopathic pharmacy.
