Objective

1. Become familiar with drug use in hospital, including the Drug Committee. 2.Give deeper understanding of topics about safe and rational drug use in hospital setting, drug administration and dosing, also in special patient groups. 3. Improve student skills in pharmacotherapeutic problem identification (e.g. drug side effects and drug interactions), documentation and resolving. 4. Introduce students to the potential role of the clinical pharmacist in the work of multidisciplinary teams and departments.

Knowledge

1.Describe common pharmacotherapy problems and basic principles of drug dosage adjustment.

1.Analyze clinical cases and identify pharmacotherapy problems.

1.Is able to understand the potential contribution and role of the clinical pharmacist in a hospital multidisciplinary team or department, by analyzing pharmacotherapy challenges and developing a reasoned plan for providing medicines information and facilitating collaboration
