About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with knowledge of rare diseases, their immune and genetic aspects, their clinical manifestations.
Prerequisites
Microbiology, immunology (the formation of immune system, its functions), normal anatomy, histology, pathophysiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, medical genetics, basic preliminary knowledge of clinical medicine.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the study course, students will be able to identify rare diseases in various medical settings based on clinical findings.
Upon completion of the study course, students will be able to interpret immunological and biochemical tests and decide what further investigations are required based on the potential diagnosis.
Students will be able to use the acquired knowledge and skills in the diagnosis of rare diseases.
