About Study Course
Objective
Deepen students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills in imunology necessary for rheumatologist specialty. To train medical residents in rheumatology: to understand the processes of cellular and humoral immune system, their role and importance in etiology, pathogenesis and clinics of rheumatic diseases, diagnostic and treatment methods of rheumatic (autoimmune diseases) and immunotherapy impact mechanisms (incl. base therapy and improved therapy drugs) on the immune system and basic immunotherapy principles in rheumatology.
Learning outcomes
1.Demonstrates in-depth and expanded knowledge of the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and autoimmune connective tissue system, which provides a basis for creative thinking in clinical practice and research, as well as the ability to interdisciplinary. Knowledge in immunology about cellular and humoral immune system of joint and support apparatus tissue; processes of cellular and humoral immune system, their role and importance in etiology, pathogenesis and clinics of rheumatic diseases; joint support apparatus and vascular autoimmune and infectious diseases. Laboratory examination methods of the immune system of rheumatic diseases, immunology of congenital, acquired and infectious diseases of the musculoskeletal apparatus; application of immunodiagnostics in diagnostics and differential diagnostics of rheumatic diseases; immunotherapy in rheumatology, basics of the effect of SMART, immunomodulators and improved (newly introduced therapy medications on the immune system, pathogenesis and clinics of rheumatic diseases.
1.The doctor understands the nature of the specific problem, diagnostic algorithms and is able to provide professional specialized assistance, as well as practically implements diagnostic, treatment and prevention measures.
Is able to argue and discuss complex or systemic aspects of rheumatology with both specialists and non-specialists. Able to draw up the medical documentation to be used, make entries on an outpatient and inpatient medical card.
Able to independently direct the development and specialization of their competencies, take responsibility for work results and their analysis, conduct business, innovate in rheumatology, perform work, research or further learning in complex and unpredictable conditions and, if necessary, transform them using new approaches.
Administer immunological laboratory tests for rheumatic patients and evaluate the results.
1.The doctor works in accordance with his / her powers at the highest level of acquisition and use of knowledge, skills, attitudes, diagnosing, treating, rehabilitating, and preventing diseases of the musculoskeletal system and autoimmune connective tissue system, independently planning and organizing the improvement and development of professional competence, takes responsibility for the work of staff teams and is able to innovate and entrepreneurship. Make informed, verifiable and scientifically sound decisions regarding patient health, public health and the environment; justify and reflect decisions in medical records. To use the acquired knowledge and skills to make diagnosis, perform differential diagnosis, interpret examination data, develop structural treatment and rehabilitation plan, define and explain treatment purposes logically, assess its efficiency and side effects.
