Objective

Improve and deepen knowledge, introduce latest scientific recognition in physiotherapy by stressing priority sub-sectors. Deepen comprehension about pharmacology in context of physiotherapy. Improve knowledge about medical and social “red flags”. Improve skills in clinical reasoning and rehabilitation problem solving according to ICF, goal setting and measurment of therapy results.

Prerequisites

Knowledge and skills acquired in bachelor study program to obtain physiotherapist qualification and bachelor degree in health care.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

physiotherapy methods (assessment and treatment) in context of evidence and latest scientific recognition; rehabilitation problem solving model according to ICF in different physiotherapy settings; main physical functional problems and its solving startegies, assessment and therapeutic methods in patients with oncological diseases, mental health disoders, pain syndromes; possible interaction between pharmacotherapy and physical functional test results, physiotherapy treatment methods, as well latest knowledge in pharmacotherapy relevant to physiotherapist patients; “red flags” and social / personal factors;

Skills

ability to integrate latest recognition and evidence, ICF concept in clinical decision making and solving of rehabilitation problems; ability to set long term goals and plan long term interventions in case of chronic disability;

Competence

Apply synthesis of expierence, knowledge and scientific evidence in physiotherapy practice; Implamentation of rehabiliation problem solving according to ICF in physiotherapy practice; Planning of continuity of physiotherapy services and interdisciplinar cooperation.
