About Study Course
Objective
Acquisition of theoretical knowledge, experience and practical skills in specific and non-specific prevention of infectious diseases, etiology, pathogenesis, clinic, course and treatment of microbial diseases, differential diagnosis of infectious diseases.
Learning outcomes
1.Resident will acquire knowledge, which allows:
- To understand epidemiology of infectious diseases;
- To recognize clinical presentation of infectious diseases;
- To understand specific an unspecific algorithms of laboratory diagnostic, differentialdiagnosis of infectious diseases, basic treatment, medication (antimicrobial, antiviral etc.).
1.Resident doctor will be able to:
• make objective examination and evaluation of infectious patient,
• make decision about special diagnostic tests for laboratory diagnosis and differential diagnosis,
• make decision about additional diagnostic procedures (computed tomography, magnetic resonance etc.)
1.In the result of studies resident will be able:
- To perform highly qualified and specialized diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis of acute and chronic infectious diseases;
- To consult other healthcare professionals, patients and patient relatives about infectious diseases issues;
- To participate in developing community health and infectious diseases prophylaxis policy.
