Objective

To provide students with general knowledge of the concept and goals of fitness, the relationship of the fitness field with other disciplines; to introduce the most important terms used in fitness in Latvian and English. To provide students with the opportunity to get acquainted with various types of fitness classes and their impact on the body in practice. Since the study course is a basic course for an introduction to the specialty, in order to continue developing specific knowledge, skills and competences in specialization study courses, the general prerequisites for the acquisition of the study course are general.

Prerequisites

Students should have experience in fitness or sports, basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and be able to apply language skills and critical evaluation of information.
