Objective

Acquire knowledge and promote knowledge acquisition and understanding of haematological, oncological and pneumonological diseases. Promote the acquisition of knowledge on the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, possible complications, therapy of the aforementioned specialties. Master the assessment of patients with the relevant pathologies, the nature of the relevant pathologies and the treatment options for specific patients at different stages of treatment. Acquire knowledge of the diseases of these specialties from a public health perspective.

Prerequisites

Anatomy, physiology and pathological physiology of organ systems. Knowledge of biology, epidemiology, microbiology, genetics. Hematopoiesis, blood cell division and maturation. Physical examination methods, radiological examination methods, functional examination methods, laboratory examination methods in terms of specific pathologies. Knowledge of the causes of changes in the findings of the investigative methods. Pharmacology of medicines used in haematology, oncology and pneumonology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Knowledge will be gained to assess, differentiate and adequately treat the most common haematological, oncological and lung diseases based on recent medical knowledge.

Skills

1.Students will be able to diagnose and understand the most common haematological, oncological and lung diseases, assess their severity, diversity of gait, correctly classify the disease, as well as prescribe treatment.
