Objective

To use the previously acquired theoretical knowledge in developing practical skills in classifying, solving and investigating crimes.
Tasks:
1. Facilitate integration of separate study courses.
2. To develop skills in complex application of criminal law and criminal procedure law norms and the technical, tactical and methodological recommendations of criminalistics in the investigator’s work.

Prerequisites

Previous acquisition of the following study courses: Legal theory, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Understanding of normative enactments governing investigator’s work and understanding of the theoretical aspects of crime qualification and investigation.

Skills

Ability to classify offences and analyse their content; ability to take decisions and perform investigatory activity in accordance with the criminal procedure norms, tactical and methodological recommendations for criminalistics.

Competence

Competence in qualifying offences; ability to evaluate the necessity of initiating criminal proceedings, ability to determine the subject of the investigated criminal offence and the necessary investigatory activity for proving corpus delicti.
