About Study Course
Objective
To prepare laboratory doctors capable of performing a wide spectrum of examinations for diagnostics of skin and sexually transmitted diseases, use modern technologies and equipment. To use examination algorithms based on international guidelines and recommendations, to interpret the obtained results. To master internal and external quality control methods for diagnostics of skin and sexually transmitted diseases.
Learning outcomes
1.- to evaluate advantages of different groups of diagnostic methods;
- to describe principles of diagnostic methods of skin and sexually transmitted diseases;
- to characterise the morphological structure of diseases caused by fungi and demodex;
- to evaluate the urogenital chlamydia infection examination algorithm;
- to describe laboratory diagnostics of urogenital tract diseases caused by viruses.
1.- to collect and prepare samples for diagnostics of skin diseases;
- to prepare samples for examination;
- to conduct microscopic examination methods of ST diseases;
- to perform laboratory diagnostics of syphilis;
- to use the examination algorithm of diagnostics and differential diagnostics of STD.
1.To conduct diagnostic examinations of human biological material for diagnostics of skin and sexually transmitted diseases. Based on exercise results to perform diagnostics, differential diagnostics of diseases, to interpret results and to recommend further examination activity to clinicians.
