Objective

To acquire and develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills in laboratory examination methods.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Upon completion of the Laboratory Examination Methods course, using the acquired knowledge and understanding, the resident will be able to: 1) explain the mechanism and results of laboratory methods used in the diagnosis of lung diseases; 2) integrate them into the overall diagnostic plan, defining possible diagnoses and differential diagnoses.

Skills

1.After the Laboratory Examination Methods course, the resident will be able to: 1) summarise the key information obtained using laboratory methods; 2) use this information to support the diagnosis.

Competence

1.Using the acquired knowledge and skills, the resident will be able to formulate pathological changes indicated by laboratory examinations, perform differential diagnosis, develop a structural treatment and rehabilitation plan, logically formulate and explain the goals of treatment, evaluate its effectiveness and side effects.
