About Study Course
Objective
To learn commonly used vocabulary and deepen conversation skills necessary to interview a patient efficiently: complaints and diseases, affecting factors, lifestyle; sentence building.
Prerequisites
Having completed one elective Latvian course or the 5th semester's mandatory course in Latvian.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to use vocabulary describing symptoms and their progress as well as list factors that affect one's health.
On successful completion of the course students will be able to formulate questions in Latvian about various aspects of symptoms and grasp the point of the answer.
On successful completion of the course students will be able to use the skills they gained in their previous Latvian courses to interview patients about their complaints in detail.
