Objective

To acquaint students with terminology used in the field of logic, so that they are able to use them in dealing with problem situations.

Tasks: Ensuring that students understand correct terminology in the field of logic: conclusions with complex premises, logical form of syllogisms, mutual relations of terms.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Ability to show comprehensive and special knowledge that corresponds to the field of work and understanding of formalisation procedures, to determine definitions, to understand logical regulations of law, formalisation of laws and regulations, to verify the formal correctness of conclusions, as well as to carry out correct argumentation.

Skills

1.Ability to use general and specific terminology, carry out practical tasks. To prepare a written argumentative story on a topic related to the profession, analyse the argumentation and provide constructive solutions to the problem, and present it.

Competence

1.Ability to describe and analyse practical problems in argumentation, to select and use information for communicating with the public.
