Objective

To develop the ability of students to choose and reasonably apply statistical methods appropriate for the purpose of psychological research, data type and analysis conditions, to process and analyze data, to correctly interpret the obtained statistical results and to use them in formulating justified research conclusions.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of general psychology and knowledge of mathematics and computer science at secondary education level.

Knowledge

1.The student describes the basic concepts of mathematical statistics and their role in psychological research.

Skills

1.The student is able to prepare, enter, and code psychological research data for statistical analysis.

Competence

1.The student is able to select an appropriate statistical analysis method according to the research question, hypotheses, and data type.
