Objective

Give students the opportunity to learn in theory and practice a variety of outdoor activities related to the use of bicycles, their planning, organisation, management, analysis. To enable the acquisition of various non-traditional sports, their organisation, application and management for the active recreation of individuals, the restoration of emotional, mental and physical capacity in the open air.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of Outdoor activities I, Outdoor activities II, general pedagogy, developmental, social and contact psychology, tourism and orientation basics and didactic, first aid, hygiene, sports theory is required.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Will know a variety of cycling and non-traditional sports, their planning, organising methodologies suitable for a variety of contingent, objectives, environment and available resources. Will know the importance of non-traditional sports and activities in restoring a person’s physical and mental strength, in the process of building personality and social relationships.
Will be aware of a variety of collaborative activities, guiding principles of team and team management, developmental dynamics, group assemblies, and team building. Will know the digital tools, apps, communication technologies used for outdoor activities (publishing event posters and reviews).

Skills

1.Can work both individually and as a team in planning, organising, managing and analysing both the cycle ride and non-traditional sports. Knows how to choose the most suitable non-traditional sports and cycle routes for purpose, age and gender characteristics and fitness, organise and manage them, and determine the impact of selected activities in the evaluation of recreational efficiency.

Competence

1.Evaluate and expertly analyse the choice of the cycle route and non-traditional activities, the suitability of environmental resources for their implementation in the content of recreational activities. Use non-traditional activities expertly in planning, organising and conducting practical classes for different contingent, selecting and applying the responsible didactic techniques. Analytically formulate the substance and terminology of the object. Able to express themselves using professional terminology and concepts, communicate (including in English) with the group at outdoor activities organised by students. Will be able to use information and communication technologies, basic ethical principles, by organising recreational activities.
