About Study Course
Objective
To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the diagnosis and treatment of paediatric neurological diseases and syndromes.
Learning outcomes
1.Acquires knowledge about normal and pathological development of a child, examination of a neurological patient, as well as peculiarities of examination of children of different ages, diagnosis of a neurological condition, choice of clinical, laboratory, instrumental, etc. examinations, selection in the specific situation and interpretation of the obtained data.
1.Able to perform clinical examination of paediatric neurological patients, to use theoretical knowledge, manipulations and instrumental examinations, link examination results to clinical findings, to explain the nature and prognosis of the disease to parents and other family members, justify the treatment tactics and the duration of therapy, able to examine and treat hospital patients and outpatients.
1.Independently plans and organises the improvement and development of one’s professional competence. Able to independently solve paediatric neurology problems, formulates and critically analyses complex clinical neurological situations in children, critically evaluates research in the field of paediatric neurology science; when justifying decisions, performs the necessary additional analysis; demonstrates understanding and ethical responsibility for the result of the professional activity of paediatric neurologist.
