Objective

To ensure the acquisition and development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the diagnosis and treatment of paediatric psychiatric diseases and psychiatric disorders of neurological diseases.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Acquires knowledge about the most common psychiatric diseases in children, disorders of mental functions in cases of neurological diseases and syndromes.

Skills

1.Able to perform basic clinical examination of paediatric psychiatric diseases, use theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the diagnosis of psychiatric symptoms of neurological diseases.

Competence

1.Independently plans and organises the improvement and development of one’s professional competence. Competence in psychiatric diseases is sufficient to understand their nature, diagnose them and, if necessary, provide emergency assistance, refer to a specialist, as well as implement diagnostic, treatment and preventive measures under the guidance of a specialist. Integrates psychiatric knowledge in the development and expansion of the competence of the paediatric neurologist specialty.
