About Study Course
Objective
To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in paediatric haematology according to the requirements of haematology specialty in order to prepare a physician for certification in the specialty of haematology.
Learning outcomes
1.Will have knowledge of diagnostic and treatment principles of the most frequent paediatric haematological diseases. Will have knowledge of the principles of support therapy and observation in dynamics of acute leukaemia in children. Will have knowledge of the diagnostic and treatment principles of chronic leukaemia in childhood. Lymphoma clinical presentation, diagnosis and treatment in children. Will have knowledge of manifestations and diagnosis of congenital coagulopathies in children.
1.Will be able to differentiate and diagnose the most frequent haematological diseases in children according to the requirements for certification as a haematologist. The student will be able to communicate with paediatric patients with oncohaematology and coagulopathy and will be familiar with the principles of therapy in children.
1.To examine and treat children with acute leukaemia on a daily basis;
To examine and treat children with lymphoma and/or Hodgkin disease on a daily basis;
To examine and treat children with immune thrombocytopenia on a daily basis;
To participate in ward rounds and councils of the department;
To participate in bone marrow biopsies, aspirations.
